Cops do not protect anyone, nor do they or any laws prevent crime. The supreme court ruled that the police have no duty to protect you, even in cases where protection orders are put in place.
All police are sworn to an institution that initiates force against non violent people to enforce arbitrary man made laws that do not align with morality acting as strong arm revenue generators for the state.
